CarneyKelehan Garners Victory for HCC in Class Action Lawsuit

CarneyKelehan’s Eric Brousaides recently represented Howard Community College in a class-action lawsuit related to COVID-19 school closures and received a favorable decision. The case was brought by a student who had enrolled in HCC prior to the pandemic who claimed that the college breached its contract to provide an in-person learning experience when it closed in response to the spread of COVID-19. Mr. Brousaides and CarneyKelehan successfully argued to have the case dismissed. This decision and case were recently highlighted in the National Law Review. Click here to read the article.
