Mr. Fastow is an accomplished real estate attorney who has practiced law in Maryland since 1992 and in the District of Columbia since 1995. A former senior counsel for the Housing Authority of Baltimore City, he brings extensive experience across all aspects of real estate development, with a particular focus on multifamily and affordable housing.
A longtime attorney at CarneyKelehan, Mr. Fastow represents property owners, lenders, developers, and housing authorities through every phase of complex real estate transactions. He draws on deep experience in construction financing, low-income housing tax credits, and HUD and Freddie Mac regulations and program requirements. He also provides legal services to a number of nonprofit organizations and sits on boards of several organizations that own and manage affordable housing projects throughout Maryland.
Mr. Fastow is a former Chair of the Real Property Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association. He has spoken at the Annual MSBA Legal Summit on several occasions and remains active in both the Maryland State and Howard County bar associations.
